Individual therapy with adults

The first session involves gathering pertinent information so that I can best understand your current concerns. I will ask a series of questions so I can begin to understand relevant factors from your past. I will also ask about current factors that may be contributing to the problem. We will discuss what your goals are in attending therapy. I will then offer my summary and formulate a proposed course of treatment. This process is collaborative and flexible; it is about ensuring we have a shared understanding of the issues that brought you to come see me so that I can offer the most targeted approach in treatment.
